Each item that can go into the Infinity Gauntlet goes into a separate file in the 'data/[your mod or pack ID]/infinity/gauntlet_stones' folder of an addon pack (in the 'addonpacks' folder) or mod, so it can't replace another mod's file of the same name (the old 'data/infinity/gauntlet_stones' folder still works). Any stone fits in any of the six slots (the same stone can't be in two), and everything is drawn from what is actually in each slot: the gauntlet's inventory icon colors that slot's pixel ('textures/item/gauntlet_slots/slot_[n].png'), and the worn, held and ground models draw the stone on that slot's socket ('geo/gauntlet_slots/slot_[n].geo.json'). A stone looks the same everywhere, like 1.12.2: its texture tinted by color, unlit, with two scrolling glint passes in glint_color (unless glint is false). The stone item itself uses that look if its model has 'parent': 'infinity:item/infinity_stone'; render layers can draw it with {'type': 'infinity:stone', 'stone': [item], 'model': [geo model]}. Give a stone abilities by naming a Palladium power in 'power'; other powers can check for the stone with the 'infinity:gauntlet_slot' condition. An invalid file or item is skipped and invalid values fall back to their defaults (logged as 'Gauntlet stone [id]: ...'). Restart the game after changes.
| Setting | Type | Description | Required | Fallback Value |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| item | ResourceLocation | The stone's item. Must be registered; each item can be only one stone | true | / |
| color | String | #RRGGBB stone color: tints the stone texture on the stone item, in the gauntlet (worn, held, ground and its inventory icon), on the head and on the ground, and colors its gauntlet tooltip and insert particles | false | #FFFFFF |
| glint | Boolean | Whether the two scrolling glint passes are drawn over the stone | false | true |
| glint_color | String | #RRGGBB color of the two scrolling glint passes drawn over the stone, as in 1.12.2 | false | color |
| tooltip_color | String | Color of the stone's ' - [name]' line in the gauntlet tooltip: a chat color name (e.g. aqua, light_purple) or #RRGGBB | false | color |
| tooltip_order | Integer | Position of the stone's line in the gauntlet tooltip; lower comes first | false | 100 |
| power | ResourceLocation | Palladium power given while the stone is in any slot of the active gauntlet (offhand or Curios hands), or held in either hand (see hand). The power is removed as soon as the stone is taken out or put away | false | none |
| head | Boolean | Whether the stone can be worn in the Curios head slot, like the Infinity Stones: it is drawn on the forehead and gives its power while worn there. (The six Infinity Stones are set up for this already.) | false | false |
| hand | Boolean | Whether the stone gives its power while held in the main or off hand, like the six Infinity Stones (which do this through their own item powers instead) | false | true |
| texture | ResourceLocation | Texture of the stone's cube, tinted by color. Uses the 1.12.2 stone layout: a 6x6x6 box-UV cube on a 32x16 texture | false | infinity:textures/item/infinity_stone.png |
| scale | Float | Size of the stone wherever it is drawn (in the gauntlet, on the head, held and on the ground; not in inventories), about its own center. Either a number, or {"base": 1, "width": 1, "height": 1} to stretch it (width is x and z, each multiplied by base); 0 counts as 1 | false | 1 |
| glow_abilities | String[] | Abilities that make the stone glow brighter while one of them is enabled on whoever holds or wears it (in the gauntlet, a custom gauntlet, the Cosmi-Rod, on the head or in hand): an ability of the stone's power by name, or any ability as 'power#ability'. Best for abilities that stay on for a while (held keys, toggles). Stone containers (see stone_containers.html) can glow with them too | false | [] |
| glow_color | String | #RRGGBB color added over the stone while it glows (see glow_abilities), pulsing slowly | false | color |
