THE LISTENER — THE CONSUMED WORLD
4.9.0 BETA — THE SEALED GARDEN
Minecraft Java 1.20.1 | Forge 47 | Java 17

THE LIVING CAVERN
- Added a continuous stone enclosure around the garden, including the
sides, roof and floor. Nearby natural caves no longer act as missing walls.
The intended entrance remains open until the story ends.
- Added real block lighting close to the walking floor, plants and manor.
Lighting no longer depends on a few distant lights high in the ceiling.
- Existing generated gardens receive a gradual wall and lighting repair
while visited, including Creative visits. The repair preserves tracked
player edits, custom blocks, block entities and occupied cells.

SCENES WITHOUT THE LISTENER
- Blocked the Listener at the direct, delayed and ceiling-event spawn
entry points, as well as target selection, attacks and entity insertion.
- Existing or teleported Listeners near a protected participant are removed
before their movement or attack logic can interrupt the scene.
- Garden visits and the home-loop sequence are protected before their main
event activates, with a short grace period after returning.
- This protection is scoped to the scene and nearby participants. Unrelated
encounters elsewhere continue. Saved pets and villagers are preserved.

FIRE, SILENCE AND THE DISAPPEARING ENTRANCE
- The burning garden now falls completely silent. Playing and queued sounds
stop, and new fire, footsteps, weather, creature and music sounds are
suppressed for the scene. Saved volume settings are never changed.
- Touching the burning shadow closes the player's eyes. The player is moved
outside the garden in the Overworld while the screen is fully black, then
the eyes reopen. The old in-place ending has been replaced.
- The entrance seals after visitors are safely outside. Its closed state
persists across saves, and returning offline visitors are recovered.
- Nearby participants are evacuated before the entrance closes. The event
does not restore or duplicate real-world inventory.
- Failed destinations, logout, death and interrupted transfers have recovery
paths so that silence and a black screen cannot remain indefinitely.
- The cavern locator skips completed stories and vanished entrances, letting
the next test visit lead to a fresh encounter.

THE HIDDEN HOME LOOP
- Replaced the arrival directly in front of the copied house with a concealed
wooded approach. Two bends, opaque banks and a canopy hide the facade
until the player walks toward it.
- The chest room is now a sealed underground chamber instead of a nearby
surface structure. Other staging copies stay hidden from the approach.
- All four doorway orientations remain walkable. The four loops, questions,
original home, inventory recovery and older saved scenes are preserved.

COMMANDS AND INSTALLATION
/ouvinte caverna Find a natural Overworld cavern with an unfinished story.
/ouvinte jardim Alias of the same locator.
/ouvinte sair_jardim Recovery exit; command visitors can return to their origin.
/ouvinte casa_loop Start the concealed home-loop approach near a valid home.
/ouvinte sair_loop Recover the original home position.

Commands require cheats or operator permission level 2. Use Survival for
story encounters. Creative can visit and receive cave repairs without
starting the story. The remaining horror and boss test commands are retained.

Replace the old mod JAR with ouvinte-4.9.0-beta-mc1.20.1.jar. Both client and
server need 4.9.0 because the cinematic message protocol has changed.
Do not keep two versions in the mods folder.

VALIDATION
Compiled with bytecode checks, native Minecraft metadata and official Forge
source contracts. Focused checks cover cave closure and light propagation,
scene isolation, sound filtering, hidden-house visibility, saved state,
black-screen timing and safe evacuation. These are automated checks, not
an entire launched Forge playthrough; in-game terrain interaction and
multiplayer pacing still need playtesting.
