THE LISTENER — THE CONSUMED WORLD
4.14.2 BETA — PLAYER EVENT NULL-GUARD HOTFIX
Minecraft Java 1.20.1 / Forge 47 / Java 17

FIXED
- Restrict the incubation player-event handler to the Clone and
PlayerRespawnEvent lifecycle events it actually handles.
- Ignore unrelated player events before reading their player or world.
- Guard missing event, player, world and original-player references.
- Preserve server-side clone history transfer and incubation cancellation
on respawn. Client-side events continue to leave server state alone.

WHY
The supplied log screenshots show a null-reference failure while Forge
invokes ExpansionEvents.birthPlayer55. The old handler queried the player
and world unconditionally, even for unrelated events. A focused regression
reproduces the old null-player failure and checks the corrected handler.

VALIDATION LIMIT
Regression checks use the actual original/patched handler and Reflect
classes with small player/world/persistent-data adapters. They are not a
live Forge GUI session. The user's Creative-only inventory crash still
requires in-game confirmation; this release does not claim every possible
inventory or JEI failure is resolved. The separate strongholds loot-table
error visible in the screenshots is outside this hotfix.

INSTALLATION
Close Minecraft. Remove the previous Ouvinte JAR from the mods folder and
install only ouvinte-4.14.2-beta-mc1.20.1.jar. Keep matching versions on the
client and server. This hotfix does not change terrain or saved-world formats.
If Creative inventory still crashes, attach the complete newest crash report
and logs/latest.log from the affected CurseForge profile.
