THE LISTENER — THE CONSUMED WORLD
4.13.0 BETA — THOSE BENEATH THE TIDE
Minecraft Java 1.20.1 | Forge 47 | Java 17

THREE COLOSSAL PREDATORS
- Rebuilt Leviath as an original, long-bodied abyssal serpent inspired by
gargantuan sea-monster anatomy: an elongated skull, four hinged lateral
jaws, exposed gill folds, dorsal spines and an articulated tapering tail.
Its native posed body is approximately 63 blocks long.
- Added Mosasaurus, a roughly 39-block guardian with a reptilian skull,
four flippers and a powerful tail. It patrols the ruined gateway along
the route from the castaway island toward the submerged ritual region.
- Added Megalodon, a roughly 34-block shark with a broad jaw, gill slits,
dorsal fin and asymmetrical tail. It inhabits a vast flooded cavern.
- All three are independent custom entities and models. Leviath remains
the largest; ordinary aquatic worms, rays and background titans remain.

MOSASAURUS AND MEGALODON
- Two separate optional boss encounters, with persistent identities and
progress, native collision, three escalating health phases and warned
charges. Mosasaurus also dives; Megalodon circles and attacks from a flank.
Expanding pressure waves leave a depth escape route.
- Mosasaurus has 950 health; Megalodon has 850. Each has its own bossbar,
damage cooldowns, five-second sinking death and guaranteed rewards when
doMobLoot is enabled. Defeating them does not bypass Leviath's main ritual.
- Mosasaurus drops a trident, eight diamonds, two netherite scraps and four
Brine Pearls. Megalodon drops a Heart of the Sea, ten diamonds, three
netherite scraps and six Brine Pearls.
- Added the original scores "The Gate Beneath the Tide" (2:40) and
"No Light Reaches the Teeth" (2:48), plus separate organic creature cues.
The encounter owns its score; leaving entity tracking range does not
cut it off. Only one ocean boss score plays at a time.

THE FLOODED CAVERN
- Added a naturally generated stone chamber with an illuminated submerged
throat, thick walls and ceiling, and enough room for the giant shark.
It is part of the Drowned Expanse, not a detached empty test arena.
- Existing ocean saves can prepare the new area incrementally. The upgrade
replaces matching old terrain, skips nonmatching blocks and block entities,
and pauses changes close to visitors. Operator preparation loads a finite
set of chunks and finishes the requested teleport automatically.
- The Overworld entrance trench remains empty of mobs.

A HARDER LEVIATH
- Raised fresh Leviath encounters to 1,200 health and tightened recovery
windows. Later phases chain two or three charges with a fresh warning
before each lunge. Aim predicts a short movement interval, then locks
before impact so a committed attack can still be dodged.
- Existing 700-health Leviath instances migrate to the new maximum while
retaining their remaining health percentage. Recovery also records the
saved maximum health instead of resetting a wounded boss.
- Increased charge speed and damage. Later phases combine diving attacks,
warned lunges, broods and overlapping tide rings. Existing rewards,
the six-second death animation and main progression are retained.
- Adjusted head contact, culling and animation scale to the new anatomy.

THE LISTENER HEARS YOU
- Normal hearing-mode pursuit now follows sound and close proximity,
retaining the last heard position for eighteen seconds and searching
around that point. It no longer uses sight to update a silent target.
- Sprinting and repeated noise sustain a faster chase. Short lunges have
an audible bone-break warning. Walking is detected from actual server
position changes as well as motion, while large teleports are excluded.
- Quiet sneaking, distance, distractions and silence still provide ways
to lose it. Story-scene isolation and natural spawn frequency are retained.

SOMETHING INSIDE
- Starting or first encountering an active flesh outbreak applies the
visible "Something Inside" effect. After sixty active seconds, a short
contortion sequence precedes the birth of an original red Blood Echo.
- The creature unfolds from the player's position, displays that player's
nickname, and becomes a fast pursuer. It has 48 health, warned melee
attacks and a two-minute lifetime. Creative and spectator players are
not attacked. Its name is a label, not a second player account.
- Incubation pauses in protected story scenes and Peaceful. Death or
clearing the source outbreak cancels the pending birth. Saved countdowns
and birth state prevent reconnects from spawning duplicate creatures.
- Added separate pulse, emergence and frantic breathing sounds.

INSTALLATION AND VALIDATION
Replace the old JAR with ouvinte-4.13.0-beta-mc1.20.1.jar on both client and
server. Keep one version installed; the network protocol is updated.

Focused checks cover native model/texture/pose geometry, collision bounds,
block-state parsing, packet codecs and adapted combat, incubation, music and
world-upgrade lifecycles. The audio files are decoded and technically checked.
No full Forge gameplay session, subjective listening session or FPS benchmark
is claimed. Previews are software renders of the shipped native geometry.
