SKYE REALISM — experimental Minecraft Java shaderpack
====================================================

This is an original, small shaderpack prototype inspired by broad visual goals seen in modern shaderpacks: natural color grading, moving foliage, animated water, reflective color, bloom and light shafts. It does NOT copy source code from Derivative, iterationT, or Complementary.

IMPORTANT COMPATIBILITY NOTE
There is no shaderpack that is literally compatible with every Minecraft Java version. Shader loaders and rendering APIs change between versions. This prototype uses the classic OptiFine/Iris shaderpack folder convention and GLSL 1.20, so it is intended as a starting point for versions whose Iris/OptiFine supports these legacy shader passes. It has not been runtime-tested here; some effects may need adjustments for a specific Minecraft + Iris/OptiFine version.

INSTALL
1. Install Iris (recommended) or OptiFine for your Minecraft version.
2. Put SkyeRealism.zip in .minecraft/shaderpacks (do not extract it).
3. Open Options > Video Settings > Shader Packs and select SkyeRealism.
4. If it fails to compile, send the shader log and your Minecraft version + Iris/OptiFine version so it can be fixed against that renderer.

FEATURES IN THIS PROTOTYPE
- Subtle animated water surface and ripple highlights
- Lightweight screen-space reflection tint (not full ray-traced SSR)
- Wind sway on terrain vertices, intended to animate foliage
- Bloom-like bright-pixel glow
- Approximate screen-space godrays
- Simple directional shading and filmic-ish tone mapping
- Shader constants marked in source for configurable options in compatible shader editors/loaders

LIMITATIONS
- This is a prototype, not yet comparable to mature production packs.
- Real-time shadow maps are not fully implemented; shadow pass files are only placeholders.
- Foliage identification from generic vertex colors is heuristic and may animate unintended blocks or miss some leaves/plants.
- Screen-space reflections cannot reflect objects outside the current screen and may smear or miss geometry.
- Option UI exposure varies by loader; if options do not appear, edit the marked constants in the GLSL files.

CREDITS / INSPIRATION
Created for Skye. Visual goals were informed by public shaderpack feature descriptions and source browsing, including Complementary Reimagined's public repository. This project is independently written and does not contain copied shader source from those packs.
