NITWIT STABILITY SCOPE — 1.2.7

This release is designed to be compatible with Fabric on Minecraft 1.21 through 26.3. Its Java bytecode targets Java 21; newer Minecraft versions still require the Java runtime required by Minecraft itself, plus a matching Fabric Loader and Fabric API. The declared version range is broader than the versions tested in this build environment.

Nitwit conservatively adapts entity distance and particles under sustained client frame-time pressure. It does not automatically change render distance or simulation distance. The frame pressure average is smoother and its spike escalation is less reactive to isolated spikes; overload detection and recovery waits are longer to avoid rapid setting changes.

No client-only mod can guarantee fixed FPS, force remote-server TPS to 20, remove internet latency, or directly control operating-system/GPU-driver scheduling or other mods’ threads. Sodium gains additional performance from renderer-level optimization that Nitwit does not replace. Live launch and profiling tests are still required on each supported Minecraft/Fabric combination.
