# Ships
## Ships and fleets
Build a ship, form a fleet and fight
other crews at sea. A ship is
permanent: it keeps its own stats,
history and owner whether it's docked,
stored, sailing or captured.
---
## Building a ship
1. Mark just the bottom layer of your
hull with white wool, like a stencil.
2. Build the ship on top. Everything
directly above a wool cell is captured.
3. Place one Ship Wheel above the wool
floor. (Ask an admin; it can't be
crafted yet.)
4. Stand near the wheel, look at it:
/ctship create <name> [fleet]
---
## Building tips
- Costs 25 Belly per hull block.
- Minimum hull size is 5 by 3.
- Small gaps of air are fine, but every
column you want captured needs its own
wool cell, even bowsprits.
- The wool disappears once the ship is
registered.
- Lootr chests inside a hull are
deleted at capture.
---
- Changes to a docked ship (cannons,
chests, repairs) sync by themselves.
- To make the ship bigger, mark the new
area with wool and run /ctship create
<name> again at the same wheel. This
is free and keeps its history.
- No fleet yet? One is made for your
team automatically.
---
## Managing ships
/ctship store <name>
Packs a docked ship away to redeploy
elsewhere. Keeps its fleet and stats.
/ctship deploy <name>
Places a stored ship where you stand,
facing your direction. Not allowed on
other teams' claims or protected areas.
/ctship delete <name>
Retires a ship for good. The blocks
stay; there's no refund.
---
## Sailing
1. Right-click the Ship Wheel of a
docked ship. It becomes a moving
vehicle with you as captain.
2. Steer with your movement keys. Space
rises, Shift dives. No water needed,
but it hits terrain.
3. Right-click the wheel again to
anchor, or use:
/ctship anchor <name>
---
## Sailing tips
- Any teammate can captain; whoever
takes the wheel first steers.
- Place Ship Seats on deck while
building. Right-click an empty seat to
ride along, sneak to get off.
- Anyone on deck who isn't seated or at
the wheel is left behind.
- Very big ships may be too large to
sail.
- Sailing, anchoring, storing and
deploying have short cooldowns.

## Fleets
/ctfleet create <name>
/ctfleet addship <fleet> <ship>
/ctfleet removeship <fleet> <ship>
/ctfleet setflagship <fleet> <ship>
/ctfleet commander <fleet> <player>
Hand day-to-day control to a player.
/ctfleet list
/ctfleet info <fleet>
---
Every fleet needs a flagship: lose it
in battle and the battle is over.
Fleets are managed by the team owner
or moderators; a fleet commander can
also set the flagship and add or
remove ships.
---
## Ship market
/ctship sell <name> <price>
List a ship. A docked ship is packed
away while it's for sale.
/ctship unsell <name>
/ctship market [page]
/ctship buy <lot>
Bought ships join one of your fleets.
Sellers are paid instantly, or on
their next login.
---
## Battles
/ctfleet battle <target fleet> [my fleet]
/ctfleet accept
/ctfleet decline
Both fleets need a flagship, all ships
docked, and crew online. If accepted,
both fleets are placed on an ocean
battlefield facing each other, and
crews are teleported aboard.
---
## WARNING: saying no costs a ship
You have 1 hour to answer. Declining,
or ignoring it until it times out,
forfeits a ship to the challenger: an
escort if you have one, otherwise your
flagship.
After any battle both teams get a 24
hour cooldown before they can fight
another battle.
---
## During battle
- Each ship's wheel has a capture zone.
Stand in an enemy's zone unopposed
for 15 seconds to take that ship.
- A boss bar shows progress: red and
filling, yellow and paused when
defenders are there too.
- Escorts can be captured back and
forth.
---
- Capturing the FLAGSHIP ends the
battle at once.
- Wiping out the enemy crew wins by
elimination, but no ships change hands.
- Nothing can be broken or placed on
the battlefield.
- Stray more than 150 blocks away and
you're disqualified and sent to spawn.
- Battles end as a draw after 45
minutes.
---
## After battle
Ships that weren't captured go back
exactly where they were docked.
Captured ships are stored and join the
fleet that took them. Place them with
/ctship deploy <name>.
---
## Leaderboards
/ctship leaderboard <category>
Categories: battles, wins, winrate,
captures, timescaptured, winstreak,
kills, oldest, largestfleet,
activefleet, captain, team.

## Who owns a ship
A ship or fleet belongs to your team,
or to you personally if you're not on
a team. Personal ships work exactly
the same: sail, sell, buy, battle.
- Join or create a team: everything
you own moves to it automatically.
- If your team is disbanded, its fleets
go to their commanders and loose
ships to the old team owner, owned
by them personally. Nothing is lost.
