# Elo, Ranks and Titles
## Elo rating
Elo measures how strong you are in
PvP. Everyone starts at 1,000 and can
never drop below 100.
Elo changes from:
- Public clashes and ranked private
clashes
- Duels
- Killing players in the open world
- Ranked bosses and some turf captures
---
## How Elo moves
- Your first 10 matches are placement
matches and move your Elo faster.
- Players in the top 20 move slower.
- Killing the same player again and
again is worth less each time: 100%,
60%, 30%, 10%, then nothing. This
resets after 24 hours.
- Killing teammates or allies never
gives Elo.
---
## Passive Elo and decay
- You gain 2 Elo for every full hour
you are online.
- Go 24 hours without a PvP fight and
you start losing 15 Elo every 24
hours (never below 1,000). Winning or losing a fight both
reset the clock.
- Only online players lose Elo this
way, and players still in placement
are skipped.
---
## One-time bonuses
Earned once per account, ever:
- First player kill: +25
- First team created: +25
- First territory takeover: +25
- First devil fruit eaten: +50
- Maxing out your Haki EXP: +50

## Duels

anyone rated above you, or up to 100

/duel list

## Duel rules
- The target has 5 minutes to answer.
DECLINING OR IGNORING COUNTS AS A FULL
LOSS for them and a win for you.
- The timer pauses while the
challenger is offline or busy, or a
clash is running. It keeps running if
the target logs off.
- Duels are fought as a ranked private
clash with a 10 minute limit. If
nobody has lost by then it's a draw.
---
- Max 3 challenges waiting on one
player at a time.
- 2 hour cooldown before the same
player can challenge you again.
- A challenge nobody could answer
expires after 48 hours at no cost.
- Results and refusals are announced.
---
