The source of "Create: Belgian Snacks" (the "Mod") is publicly viewable for
transparency, interoperability, and contribution only. Public visibility does
NOT make it open-source and grants none of the rights below unless stated.

ALL RIGHTS NOT EXPRESSLY GRANTED HERE ARE RESERVED BY THE AUTHOR. No right is
granted by implication, estoppel, acquiescence, or otherwise.

Contributions are welcome: Section 5 and CONTRIBUTING.md set out the limited
fork permission granted for submitting pull requests.

VERSIONING — Each release of the Mod is governed by the version of
this license shipped with it. A later version does not retroactively change the
terms of a release You already obtained, and an earlier version does not apply
to a later release.

1. DEFINITIONS
--------------------------------------------------------------------

"Mod" means the Create: Belgian Snacks software in any form, including its
compiled or packaged artifacts (.jar), source code, configuration
templates, assets, and documentation.

"You" means any individual or entity that accesses, downloads, installs, runs,
copies, or otherwise deals with the Mod, whether or not acting within
the permissions granted here.

"Author" means THEFricadelle, who holds the copyright in the Mod as a
whole and is the sole party entitled to grant, withhold, or withdraw the
permissions set out here.

"Contributor" means a person whose contribution has been merged into the
Mod. Contributors retain copyright in their own contribution, license
it to the Author under Section 5.2, and are credited in
CONTRIBUTORS.md and benefit from the modpack permission of Section 5.3. That credit acknowledges authorship of a
specific contribution; it confers no ownership, no co-maintainership, and no
right to grant any permission under this license.

"Maintaining Organization" means any organization, team, or platform account
under which the official repository or an Official Channel is hosted. Hosting
the Mod, administering its repository, or being described as a
maintainer or team member transfers no copyright, grants none of the
permissions reserved to the Author, and does not entitle that organization or
person to act as the Author. A member who contributes does so as a Contributor
under Section 5.2 like anyone else. Where such an organization is a legal
entity, it holds rights only under a separate written assignment signed by the
Author; this license neither creates nor evidences one.

"Official Channel" means a distribution channel operated or authorized by the
Author — currently CurseForge, Modrinth, and the official GitHub repository and its Releases page.

"Official Build" means an exact, unmodified artifact of the Mod as
published by the Author on an Official Channel.

"Server Operator" means a person or entity that runs a Minecraft server on
which the Mod is installed, including hosting providers acting on
behalf of their customers.

2. GRANT OF USE
--------------------------------------------------------------------

2.1 GRANT

Subject to Section 3, the Author grants You a non-exclusive, non-transferable,
revocable, royalty-free right to (a) download the Official Build from an
Official Channel, and (b) install and run the Mod on Minecraft server(s) or client(s)
that You own or operate, for any number of players, including monetized servers, provided the Mod itself
is not sold or paywalled.

2.2 DISTRIBUTION TO PLAYERS BY SERVER OPERATORS

Notwithstanding Section 3(a), a Server Operator may transmit the Official Build
to players connecting to that Operator's own server — including through
launcher, hosting-panel, or sync-mod auto-synchronization — provided the build
is unmodified, the transmission is incidental to joining that specific server
rather than a general-purpose download, and all copyright, authorship, and
license notices are preserved.

This covers that server's own players only. Publishing, cataloguing, mirroring,
or offering the Mod as a downloadable or "one-click install" product
independently of a customer's own server instance requires the Author's prior
written permission.

2.3 REVOCATION

The rights granted in Section 2.1 are revocable, but revocation is:

  (a) individual — effective only against a specific You, only upon written
notice from the Author, with no blanket or silent withdrawal of the
      rights granted to the public at large;

  (b) prospective — it does not retroactively make unlawful any use that was
      compliant when it occurred; and

  (c) limited — it does not, by itself, affect (i) the modpack permission of Section 3(b) as it applies to any compliant modpack maintained by a third party, nor (ii) the ability
of other users to keep running an Official Build they lawfully obtained.

Withdrawing the modpack permission from a given modpack maintainer requires
separate written notice to that maintainer, and does not apply retroactively to
modpack versions already published.

This Section is without prejudice to Section 6 (Termination), which operates
automatically upon breach.

3. RESTRICTIONS
--------------------------------------------------------------------

Except with the Author's prior written permission, You may NOT:

  (a) redistribute, re-upload, mirror, repackage, or otherwise make the
Mod (compiled or source) available to third parties through any
channel not authorized by the Author — including mod-hosting sites, modpack platforms,
forums, file lockers, Discord servers, and torrents — SUBJECT TO
      the modpack permission of Section 3(b), the server-to-player distribution permitted by Section 2.2, and the contribution fork permitted by Section 5.1;

  (b) include the Mod in a modpack, EXCEPT on all of the following
conditions, which are permitted without further request: the modpack
references an Official Channel so the file is fetched from that channel
at install time; the exact, unmodified Official Build is used; and all
copyright, authorship, and license notices are preserved. Bundling the
file into an exported or offline pack, re-hosting it on any other
channel, or including a modified build is NOT covered by this permission
      and still requires prior written consent;

  (c) sell, rent, sublicense, or otherwise commercialize the Mod
      itself, or bundle it with a paid product;

  (d) create, distribute, or publish derivative works, forks, or modified
versions of the Mod or its source, EXCEPT for the contribution
      fork permitted by Section 5.1;

  (e) remove, alter, or obscure any copyright, authorship, or license notice,
      including the SPDX headers at the top of source files;

  (f) claim authorship of the Mod or any part of it, present it as
Your own work, or reuse its source — in whole or in part, verbatim or
      substantially adapted — inside any other project, product, or service;

  (g) use the name "Create: Belgian Snacks", the Mod's mod id,
logo, visual identity, or any confusingly similar designation to identify
or promote another project, product, or service, to suggest affiliation
with or endorsement by the Author where none exists, or as or within a
trademark, domain name, or account name. Factual, nominative references —
stating that a modpack includes it, writing a tutorial, or publishing a review — are
      permitted and are not restricted by this paragraph;

  (h) use the Mod or its source, in whole or in part, as training,
fine-tuning, validation, or retrieval corpus for any machine-learning or
generative artificial-intelligence system, nor include it in any dataset
compiled or distributed for that purpose. Ordinary use of AI-assisted
developer tooling by a contributor working on a contribution under
Section 5.1 is not restricted by this paragraph.

4. SOURCE CODE AND DECOMPILATION
--------------------------------------------------------------------

Publication of the source is for reference, review, contribution, and
interoperability only. It grants no license to copy, reuse, redistribute, or
derive from that source, except as expressly permitted by Section 5.1
(contribution fork) or as strictly permitted by mandatory applicable law (for
example, decompilation strictly necessary to achieve interoperability where
such a right cannot lawfully be excluded).

5. CONTRIBUTIONS
--------------------------------------------------------------------

5.1 CONTRIBUTION FORK (LIMITED PERMISSION)

Notwithstanding Section 3(d), the Author grants You permission to fork the
official source repository and modify Your fork FOR THE SOLE PURPOSE of
preparing and submitting a pull request to the official repository, subject to
all of the following:

  (a) the fork stays a recognizable fork of the official repository and keeps
this LICENSE file, the copyright notices, and the Mod's
      identity (name, mod id, branding) unchanged;

  (b) You do not distribute, publish, advertise, or release any build —
compiled or source — produced from Your fork to third parties; the fork
      is for development and review only;

  (c) You do not use the fork as the basis of a separate, competing, or
      rebranded project; and

  (d) once Your pull request is merged, closed, or abandoned, this permission
covers no further use of the fork beyond keeping it as a historical
record. A pull request is "abandoned" if it has received no commit,
comment, or other activity from You for ninety (90) consecutive days, or
if You publicly state that You no longer intend to pursue it.

Any use of a fork outside these conditions is not licensed and falls back under
the restrictions of Section 3.

5.2 GRANT OVER YOUR CONTRIBUTION

If You submit a contribution (a pull request, patch, or code suggestion), You
grant the Author a perpetual, worldwide, irrevocable, non-exclusive,
royalty-free, sublicensable and transferable license to use, reproduce, modify,
relicense, and distribute it as part of the Mod under this or any
other license, without obligation of compensation. You confirm that You are the
author of the contribution, that You have the right to grant that license, and
that it includes no third-party code You are not entitled to submit.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law You waive any moral rights
You hold in Your contribution as against the Author and its licensees. Where
such rights cannot lawfully be waived, You agree not to assert them in a manner
that would prevent the Author from exercising the license granted above, it
being understood that the Author will not misattribute Your contribution to a
third party.

You retain the copyright in Your own contribution. Submitting one grants You no
ownership, no co-authorship, no right to redistribute, publish, mirror,
relicense, or fork the Mod, and no other right over it. A
Contributor's permissions over the Mod are exactly those of any other
You under Sections 2 and 3, neither more nor less. Having a contribution merged
does not enlarge them.

5.3 RECOGNITION OF CONTRIBUTORS

  (a) CREDIT. Every Contributor whose contribution is merged into the
Mod is credited in the CONTRIBUTORS.md file distributed with
it, by the name or handle they chose and with a description of what they
contributed, so the credit identifies the work and not only the person.
The Author will not misattribute a contribution to a third party. A
Contributor may ask, through the official issue tracker, to be listed
under a different name or handle, to have a contact address removed, or
not to be listed at all.

  (b) MODPACK PERMISSION. Once a Contributor's pull request has concluded —
merged, closed, or abandoned within the meaning of Section 5.1(d) — that
Contributor may include the Mod in a modpack they publish, on
the conditions of Section 3(b): Official Channel reference, exact
unmodified Official Build, notices preserved. Having forked under Section
5.1 never removes this permission, and Section 5.1(b) continues to bar
distributing any build produced from that fork. This Section grants no
right beyond what it states; bundling into an exported or offline pack,
re-hosting elsewhere, or publishing a modified build still requires prior
      written permission under Section 3.

6. TERMINATION
--------------------------------------------------------------------

Any breach of this license automatically and immediately terminates the rights
granted in Sections 2.1, 2.2, 3(b), 5.1, and 5.3(b). You must then stop using and
delete all copies of the Mod in Your possession, and cease any
distribution then in progress.

Sections 1, 3, 4, 5.2, 5.3(a), and 7 through 11, together with the reservation of rights stated
above, survive termination. A Contributor's credit under Section 5.3(a) is an
acknowledgment of authorship and is not withdrawn by termination. Termination
is without prejudice to any other remedy available to the Author.

7. NO WARRANTY
--------------------------------------------------------------------

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, THE MOD IS
PROVIDED "AS IS", WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING
BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR
PURPOSE, AND NONINFRINGEMENT.

The Mod is supplied free of charge. Nothing in this Section excludes
any warranty that cannot lawfully be excluded.

8. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
--------------------------------------------------------------------

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, AND IN CONSIDERATION OF THE
FACT THAT THE MOD IS PROVIDED FREE OF CHARGE, IN NO EVENT SHALL
THE AUTHOR BE LIABLE FOR ANY CLAIM, DAMAGES, OR OTHER LIABILITY, WHETHER IN AN
ACTION OF CONTRACT, TORT, OR OTHERWISE, ARISING FROM, OUT OF, OR IN CONNECTION
WITH THE MOD OR THE USE OR OTHER DEALINGS IN IT — INCLUDING
WITHOUT LIMITATION DATA LOSS, WORLD CORRUPTION, SERVICE INTERRUPTION, OR LOSS OF REVENUE.

Nothing in this Section excludes or limits the Author's liability for death or
personal injury, for fraud or wilful misconduct (dol), for gross negligence
(faute lourde), or for any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or
limited under applicable law.

9. AUTHORSHIP AND MORAL RIGHTS
--------------------------------------------------------------------

The Author asserts the moral rights of authorship in the Mod — the
right to be identified as its author (droit à la paternité) and the right to
the integrity of the work (droit au respect de l'œuvre) — as recognized under
French law and applicable international conventions. These rights are
perpetual, inalienable, and imprescriptible, and are not affected, waived, or
diminished by any permission granted in this license, by the public
availability of the source code, or by any termination or revocation.

The moral rights of Contributors in their own contributions are addressed in
Section 5.2, and their credit in Section 5.3(a). The Author will not
misattribute any contribution to a third party.

10. GENERAL
--------------------------------------------------------------------

10.1 NO WAIVER

No failure, delay, or tolerance by the Author in exercising any right or remedy
under this license constitutes a waiver of that right or remedy, or of any
subsequent breach, whether similar or not. Any permission granted by the Author
in a specific case is granted for that case only: it creates no precedent, no
entitlement, and no expectation for any other person, project, or occasion. A
waiver is effective only if given in writing by the Author and identifying what
is waived.

10.2 SEVERABILITY

If any provision of this license is held invalid, unenforceable, or contrary to
mandatory law by a competent court, it shall be reduced to the minimum extent
necessary to make it valid and enforceable or, if that is not possible,
severed. The remaining provisions remain in full force and effect, and shall be
interpreted so as to give the greatest possible effect to the Author's
reservation of rights.

10.3 ENTIRE AGREEMENT

This license constitutes the entire agreement between You and the Author
concerning the Mod, and supersedes any prior or contemporaneous
statement, description, understanding, or communication, including any wording
appearing on a distribution platform's project page. Nothing on such a page
modifies this license. Any modification of these terms in a specific case is
valid only if made in writing by the Author.

10.4 GOVERNING LAW AND JURISDICTION

This license is governed by and construed in accordance with French law,
without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute arising out of or in
connection with it shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the
competent French courts, to the extent permitted by applicable law. Where
mandatory consumer-protection rules grant You the right to bring proceedings
before, or to benefit from the law of, the courts of Your place of residence,
those rules are unaffected by this Section.

10.5 LANGUAGE

The authoritative version of this license is the English text. Any translation
is provided for convenience only, and in case of divergence the English text
prevails, except where mandatory local law requires otherwise.

11. PERMISSIONS AND CONTACT
--------------------------------------------------------------------

For redistribution, modpack inclusion beyond Section 3(b), commercial hosting offers, or any other permission not
granted above, contact the Author by opening an issue on the official
repository:

  https://github.com/THEFricadelle/Create-Belgian-Snacks/issues

Written permission is required and may be granted at the Author's sole
discretion. Silence is not consent: absence of a reply, or the Author's failure
to object to a use, never constitutes permission.

Only the Author can grant a permission under this license. A statement by a
Contributor, a maintainer, a moderator, or a member of a Maintaining
Organization is not a permission, whatever channel it is made on, unless the
Author has authorized it in writing.
