LEI datapack override layer (lei_metadata) - reference for modpack authors
=========================================================================

Directory convention (implementation anchors: src/main/java/com/lazy/dondong/client/lei/LeiDataPackSource.java:31-52, :112-138)

  Datapack root: data/<namespace>/lei_metadata/<file name>.json

  - <namespace> follows your own datapack (the examples here use lazy_enough_items).
  - When it is read: the server resource manager enumerates every .json under the
    lei_metadata directory (LeiDataPackSource.java:92-93).
  - Merge semantics: whole-entry replacement of the same key in the built-in layer
    (the same-named file under assets/lazy_enough_items/lei/). This is NOT a deep merge -
    a key is either yours or the built-in one.
  - Multiplayer clients without a server instance do not read local datapacks: the override
    layer is authoritative on the server side (LeiDataPackSource.java:85-89).

Recognized file names (these use a dedicated parser; any other .json is parsed as a generic
metadata entry document)

  dictionary.json full declaration: define dictionaries, bulk-classify items
  workstations.json recipe type -> machine item (used by the processing overview)
  catalysts.json         no-output / special crafting -> anchor item
  structure_loot.json    non-Jigsaw structure -> loot table
  loot_owners.json loot table -> the gameplay entry that consumes it (fishing / cat gifts /
                         bartering / sniffer / hero's gift)
  biome_contents.json    biome path -> representative blocks/items
  structure_spawns.json structure id -> entity id
  entity_extra.json entity id -> breeding food tag / tempt item / curated tip key / drop xp
  entity_render.json entity id -> scale multiplier (example: entity_render.json in this directory)
  structure_icons.json structure id -> item id

This directory ships an example only: entity_render.json intentionally leaves entityScale empty
and contains no override data, so installing LEI by itself does not change any built-in data.
To override, copy the example file and add your own keys.
This readme.txt is not a data file; the game never reads it.
