A furnace-like machine that runs on water instead of coal - feed it stone-family blocks and water, and it grinds them down into rubble one step at a time.
A Water Bucket fuels 100 crushes, a Water Bottle fuels 20, and each crush takes 100 ticks (5 seconds) - Blast Furnace speed, twice as fast as a plain vanilla Furnace. Empty Buckets/Bottles are handed back once drained.
Every recipe is a single step - feed the output back in for the next step down the chain. Most families bottom out at Gravel; the classic Stone family goes all the way to Sand.

A few blocks don't degrade into gravel at all - they shatter into their raw crafting components instead, at a generous yield:

That makes the Rock Crusher a genuine little recycling line for builders - reclaim raw Quartz or Prismarine Shards from decorative blocks you already placed, or turn a mountain of leftover Cobblestone all the way into Sand for glass and concrete production.
