World Dimension Loader 1.4.1-beta3 - GUI Guide (Public Beta Candidate)

1. What the WDL Workbench is
ID: worlddimensionloader:wdl_workbench
The Workbench is an administration/configuration block. It has no survival crafting recipe and is available from the WDL Creative tab. The server requires Creative mode and permission level 2 or higher.

2. Opening and main navigation
The home screen separates Dimensions, Gates and Common. The server checks permission and current settings before saving. If the Workbench reports that the data changed, use Refresh and retry from the current state instead of forcing an older edit.

3. Dimension list and statuses
Use the Dimension list to Create or Edit configured definitions and view READY/runtime status where available. 1.4.1-beta3 does not provide a Dimension Delete button. If a beta1-originated pending-delete state is still present after an upgrade, the target may appear as pending and Edit may be disabled until the recovery state is resolved. There is no GUI cancel control in beta3.

4. Dimension Create/Edit
Update pages are GENERAL / RUNTIME / DESTINATION / PLAYER / ENVIRONMENT / TIME_LIMIT / INVENTORY / TRAVEL. Create uses the first six pages. Inventory and Travel Policy are configured after creation. The source-folder chooser stays inside the configured Dimension root, and ID assistance can derive an ID from the selected source folder. Save is checked by the server; Cancel discards the unsaved local edit.

5. Inventory / Travel Policy
Inventory Import and Export are separate policies. Travel Import and Export are also separate. List values are checked before saving. Travel Policy controls allowed WDL-managed travel relationships and is separate from Gate destination configuration.

6. Gate Create/Edit/Delete
Page order is DESTINATION -> GENERAL -> FRAME -> ACTIVATION -> COSTS. The destination chooser exposes WDL Dimension definitions plus Overworld where supported. Create-time ID assistance is available. Ordered frame/activation/cost lists are edited explicitly. A risky change to an active Gate can require confirmation. Gate definition Delete remains available; WDL checks dependencies and current server state before completing it.

7. Common Config editor
The Common editor is split across six pages. Each supported setting can use its default or an explicit override. Save/Cancel is page-scoped and navigation protects unsaved changes. High-impact settings such as the Dimension root receive stronger confirmation. STARTUP ONLY means the setting takes effect only after a full game/server restart.

8. Save, Cancel, Refresh and validation
Save is tied to the current Config state so an older screen cannot silently overwrite a newer change. If a conflict appears, Refresh and retry. WDL also preserves comments, blank lines and unrecognized text outside the exact settings it can safely edit.

9. Deletion and data safety
Dimension definition deletion is not available from the beta3 Workbench. Gate definition deletion remains available. Definition operations change WDL Config; they do not delete physical WDL Dimension/world data or configured source-world data.

10. Legacy beta1 pending Dimension deletion
This section is only for worlds upgraded from beta1 that already contain a pending Dimension-delete plan. Beta2 keeps the saved recovery state so startup can safely finalize it when its stored checks still match. If it remains blocked, use `/wdl pending-delete status` and, when appropriate, `/wdl pending-delete cancel`. The Workbench itself does not provide a cancel button. While the inherited plan exists, other Workbench Config-changing operations can remain locked to protect that recovery state.
