The /bfairies/z are the small, bright spirits of the grove, each a single colour and each with a gift of its own. Strike one and it scatters into a pinch of fairy dust the shade of its wings, which a careful hand can gather and keep. Like much of fae-kind they cannot abide cold /biron/z, and a blade or tool of iron will wound them twice as deeply as any other.
<~><~> Keep the dust. It is worth more than its colour suggests, for it holds a thread of the soul about it. Rings bound with /bfairy dust/z know the hand that wore them, and a ring so made will find its way back to you even past /bdeath/z, when everything else is left where you fell.
<~><~> The Moonlit fairy, palest of them all, sheds a soft light through the dark. The Ember fairy carries a spark of flame. The Bloom fairy coaxes flowers to open, while the Sprout fairy hurries crops toward harvest. The Heart fairy mends the hurts of the kind, and the Sunbeam fairy leaves the undead weak and slow.
