World Dimension Loader (WDL) 1.4.0
Minecraft 1.20.1 / Forge 47.4.22 / Java 17

Quick start:

1. Put a COPY of a world here:
   WDL_custom_dimensions/test_world_01/level.dat

2. config/worlddimensionloader/dimensions.toml

[[dimensions]]
id = "test_world_01"

3. config/worlddimensionloader/gates.toml

[[gates]]
id = "test_world_01_gate"
dimensions = ["test_world_01"]

4. Run /wdl scan or restart.

Important:
- For a NEW/PRISTINE runtime with Reset disabled, the physical ID is wdl:<id> with no timestamp and storage is dimensions/wdl/<id>/.
- Reset-enabled runtimes use wdl:<id>/<timestamp> and storage is dimensions/wdl/<id>/<timestamp>/.
- Existing timestamp runtimes are preserved in place; WDL 1.4.0 does not reverse-migrate them automatically.
- `WDL RESET DEFERRED` (INFO) means a Reset is intentionally waiting/retrying; repeated identical reasons are deduped per operation/phase.
- `WDL RESET BLOCKED` (ERROR) means terminal fail-closed safety handling and should be investigated.
- Do not manually rename or move WDL runtime folders to force a fixed ID.
- Existing Config files are not overwritten automatically.
- WDL 1.4.0 adds no new Config keys/defaults; Config regeneration is not required solely for the update.
- Reset is optional and can discard changes made inside the resettable runtime Dimension.
- Safe default Reset cleanup keeps retired generations until restart, so repeated Reset may temporarily use substantial disk space.
- Valkyrien Skies and Distant Horizons are optional, not required.
- STARTUP ONLY settings require a full restart.
