Third-party material bundled in or derived by DMZ Plus Space
============================================================

DMZ Plus Space is licensed GPL-3.0-or-later (see LICENSE). The following
third-party material is incorporated under its own terms. MIT is compatible
with GPL-3.0 in this direction, but its notice must travel with the code.

1. Ad Astra — Terrarium Earth
   https://github.com/terrarium-earth/Ad-Astra
Terrarium License v1: source files are MIT; non-code assets are All Rights
   Reserved.

   INCORPORATED (MIT portion only):
     - The dimension sky-rendering stack, adapted and re-namespaced, under
       com/kiziro/dmzplusspace/client/dimension/ and the accompanying
DimensionSpecialEffects mixin. Derived from Ad Astra's
       common/src/main/java/earth/terrarium/adastra/client/dimension/ package.
     - data/dmzplusspace/worldgen/noise_settings/orbit.json
     - data/dmzplusspace/worldgen/biome/orbit.json
(Ad Astra's LICENSE defines "Code" to include any file under
resources/data/..., so these datapack files are MIT.)

Each derived source file carries a note identifying it as such.

NOT INCORPORATED: no Ad Astra textures, models, sounds, or JSON under
assets/ are used. Those remain All Rights Reserved.

2. MixinExtras — LlamaLad7
   https://github.com/LlamaLad7/MixinExtras
MIT. Bundled unmodified inside this jar via JarInJar
(META-INF/jarjar/mixinextras-forge-*.jar) because Forge 1.20.1 does not
   provide it.

3. "The Milky Way panorama" — ESO/S. Brunier
   https://www.eso.org/public/images/eso0932a/
Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0)
   https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/

CREDIT (required, wording unaltered): ESO/S. Brunier

   INCORPORATED:
     - assets/dmzplus/textures/environment/milky_way.png

ADAPTED, not reproduced verbatim: the source is a 6000x3000 JPEG; the
shipped file is downscaled to 2048x1024 with a Lanczos filter. No other
alteration. The exact command is recorded in the generator,
   dmz-wiki/wiki/tools/mkskytexture.py.

   ESO's terms (https://www.eso.org/public/copyright/, read 2026-08-04) place
images on the public ESO website under CC BY 4.0, permit adaptation, and
require that the credit be presented "in a clear and readable manner ...
with the wording unaltered". CC BY 4.0 does not conflict with GPL-3.0 here:
the texture is an aggregated asset distributed alongside the mod, not a
derivative of its source code, and the attribution above satisfies the
   licence.

CC BY 4.0 permits commercial use, redistribution and adaptation provided
attribution is given, a link to the licence is provided, and any changes are
indicated — all three of which this entry does.

5. Genesis - jamesgreen26 / shipwrights
   https://github.com/jamesgreen26/genesis
   Apache License 2.0.

   INCORPORATED (adapted, not copied verbatim):
     - assets/dmzplus/shaders/core/corona.vsh
     - assets/dmzplus/shaders/core/corona.fsh
       Derived from Genesis's assets/genesis/shaders/core/star_glow.vsh,
star_glow.fsh and sun.fsh. What was taken is the cubic falloff on the
glow and the idea of a temperature ramp running from an outer colour
through an inner one to a blown-out white core.

CHANGES MADE (Apache-2.0 section 4(b) requires these be stated):
     - Genesis raymarches a cube signed-distance field to shade the star BODY.
Ours shades only the glow AROUND a body the existing renderer has
already drawn, so there is no marching and no per-body geometry.
     - Genesis carries the falloff in the vertex alpha, which suits a mesh with
a centre vertex. Ours is one quad, whose four corners are all on the rim,
so the offset from centre is carried in the vertex colour and the
distance is computed per fragment instead.
     - That distance is a box distance rather than a radial one, so the glow
       follows a cube's outline.
     - Rewritten against our own uniforms and our own sky pass.

   Apache-2.0 is one-way compatible with GPL-3.0-or-later: Apache-2.0 material
may be incorporated into a GPLv3 work, but not the reverse, and it is not
compatible with GPLv2. The full licence text is at
https://www.apache.org/licenses/LICENSE-2.0 and section 4(a) is satisfied by
this entry travelling with the jar, as this file already does.
