Adorn your grimoire at a smithing table: the grimoire is the template, the base goes in the middle, and the modifier goes last. Each adornment lends it a new power.<~><~> §lFacet§r seals the book to you alone; none but the owner may read or cast from it. Forge with any metal ingot in the middle and a Copper Key last. It will not share a cover with a Triangle.<~><~> §lTriangle§r binds the grimoire to your soul: it returns to you on death and will not burn in fire or lava. Forge with any metal ingot in the middle and a Nether Star Shard last. It will not share a cover with a Facet.<~><~> §lSwirl§r is a dyed flourish; to all but the owner, a swirled grimoire's writing reads as gibberish. Forge with a Water Bucket in the middle and any dye last. It pairs with anything.<~><~> §lFrame§r adds a hidden six-slot pouch. Store a stack by holding the grimoire in your off hand and the items in your main, then right-click. Forge with any metal ingot in the middle and an Item Frame last.<~><~> §lJewel§r grants casting mode, toggled with its keybind (default Z): hold the grimoire to cast the spell on the open page, its mana bar and charges shown in the jewel's metal. Forge with any metal ingot in the middle and a Supercharged Diamond last. It will not share a cover with an Element.<~><~> §lElement§r cuts the mana cost of that element's spells by 15%. Forge with any metal ingot in the middle and gem dust of that element last. It will not share a cover with a Jewel.
