Six of the twelve are familiar to every woodcutter, for their children still grow in the lands you already walk. The Oak and the Spruce, the Birch and the Jungle tree, the Acacia and the Dark Oak are all primal stock, and the wood of any one of them will serve to raise a podium.
<~><~> The other six are rarer and stranger. The Ash takes to a spell quickly, and the patient Elder holds work that must last. The Pine keeps its warmth through winter, the Willow bears a soft and yielding magic, the Yew is trusted in matters of death and memory, and the Verde, rarest of all, glows faintly with the green of living things.
