RECIPE ENTRY MAPPINGS

This file links a Field Guide recipe entry to an actual Minecraft recipe.

Example:

{
"entries": [
{
"entry": "fieldguideadditions:crafting_table_recipe",
"recipe": "minecraft:crafting_table"
}
]
}

FIELD EXPLANATIONS

"entry"

The Field Guide entry ID.

Example:

fieldguideadditions:crafting_table_recipe

IMPORTANT

This ID must match the recipe entry ID used in:

examples/example_datapack/data/fieldguideadditions/fieldguide/categories/recipes.json

Example:

{
"type": "virtual_entry",
"id": "fieldguideadditions:crafting_table_recipe",
"virtual_type": "tutorial"
}

The ID should also match any lang keys and loot modifier entries associated with the recipe.

Example:

fieldguide.name.fieldguideadditions.crafting_table_recipe

fieldguide.fieldguideadditions.crafting_table_recipe.description

"recipe"

The Minecraft recipe ID that will be displayed in the Field Guide.

Examples:

minecraft:crafting_table
minecraft:hay_block
minecraft:slime_block

Modded recipes may also be used:

mymod:primitive_fire
mymod:stone_axe
mymod:plant_fibre

FULL EXAMPLE

{
"entry": "fieldguideadditions:crafting_table_recipe",
"recipe": "minecraft:crafting_table"
}

This tells Field Guide to display the recipe:

minecraft:crafting_table

inside the entry:

fieldguideadditions:crafting_table_recipe

ADDING MORE RECIPES

You can add additional recipe mappings by creating more entries:

{
"entries": [
{
"entry": "fieldguideadditions:crafting_table_recipe",
"recipe": "minecraft:crafting_table"
},
{
"entry": "fieldguideadditions:primitive_fire_recipe",
"recipe": "mymod:primitive_fire"
}
]
}

REMEMBER

The entry ID must match everywhere:

Category Entry:
fieldguideadditions:primitive_fire_recipe

Recipe Mapping:
fieldguideadditions:primitive_fire_recipe

Lang Name:
fieldguide.name.fieldguideadditions.primitive_fire_recipe

Lang Description:
fieldguide.fieldguideadditions.primitive_fire_recipe.description

If the IDs do not match exactly, the recipe entry may not display correctly.
