TriviaBot - Official Changelog & History
===================================================================

== Version 2.9.3 (Data Architecture & UI Polish) ==
Date: April 2026
Lead Developer for 2.9.x Branch: MrWh1skers (Etraeli-Dreamscythe-US)
Environment: WoW TBC Anniversary (2.5.5) / Classic Era (v11.x Engine)

A comprehensive stability and interface update resolving legacy data structure conflicts and modernizing the control panel layout.

* Data Structure Bridge: Repaired the payload architecture between Load-On-Demand question packs and the core engine. Restored parallel arrays to fix the notorious "bad argument to pairs" hard crash during quiz selection.
* Chat Throttling Fix: Overhauled the chat broadcasting loops. Replaced randomized 'pairs' with sequential 'ipairs' and integrated a 0.1-second metronome delay to completely eliminate WoW server chat scrambling when printing Quiz Lists and Standings.
* GUI Expansion: Increased the master GUI width to 450px and recalibrated all relative anchor X/Y coordinates to create a clean, non-overlapping 3-column layout for menus, inputs, and options.
* Tooltip Injection: Added comprehensive GameTooltip hover descriptions across all control panel input fields and checkboxes to clarify bot settings and functionality for new users.
* Addon Loading: Cleaned up pack .toc files to prevent duplicate file loading warnings in modern API environments.

== Version 2.9.2 (UI Polish & Bug Fixes) ==
Date: April 2026
Lead Developer for 2.9.x Branch: MrWh1skers (Etraeli-Dreamscythe-US)
Environment: WoW TBC Anniversary (2.5.5) / Classic Era (v11.x Engine)

A rapid-deployment patch to resolve several GUI visual glitches and legacy SavedVariable conflicts discovered after the 2.9.1 architectural overhaul.
* Dropdown Visibility: Fixed a critical UI layering bug that caused dropdown menu text to render invisibly behind the menu backdrop.
* Menu Stacking Fix: Resolved the "Mega-Menu" glitch where the Quiz, Category, and Chat selection lists would improperly merge into a single massive dropdown list.
* GUI Centering: Adjusted the master frame anchors to perfectly center the control panel elements within the TriviaBot window.
* Channel Clarity: Renamed the vague "Instance" channel option to "Battleground" in both the UI and chat announcements for better player clarity.
* Zombie UI Cleanup: Permanently eradicated the ghost "Custom Channel" UI elements that were stubbornly clinging to legacy saved configuration profiles.

== Version 2.9.1 (Architectural Stability Update) ==
Date: April 2026
Lead Developer for 2.9.x Branch: MrWh1skers (Etraeli-Dreamscythe-US)
Environment: WoW TBC Anniversary (2.5.5) / Classic Era (v11.x Engine)

Massive under-the-hood overhaul to bring the legacy 2007 codebase up to modern Blizzard API standards.
* Engine Upgrade: Replaced legacy timing loops with modern API tickers to completely eradicate the "Error #132" Hard Client Crashes during heavy quiz sessions.
* UI Fixes: Injected modern backdrop templates to fix the "invisible/clear menu" bug affecting modern clients.
* Anti-Taint Compliance: Stripped out legacy routing for custom/public channels (which are now hardware-locked by Blizzard).
  TriviaBot now safely restricts automated output to Party, Raid, Guild, and Instance chats to prevent action-bar lockups.
* Randomizer Overhaul: Replaced the old clumping randomizer with the Fisher-Yates shuffle algorithm.
  Questions will no longer repeat frequently while others never appear.
* Performance: Removed outdated garbage-collection triggers that were causing micro-stutters and screen freezing during gameplay.
* Localization Overhaul: Modernized the translation architecture. Non-English clients will no longer crash if a translation string is missing (defaults safely to English).
* Polish: Standardized UI and chat output terminology (now officially utilizes "Match Standings" and "All-Time Leaderboard").
