Synaptic - Rotation Assistant
CHANGELOG
===============================

v0.2.8
------
- Fixed keybind display when using Bartender4 or Dominos action bar addons. Bars without a standard WoW binding command (e.g. bar 2 in Bartender4 or Dominos) were showing the wrong key — the key from bar 1's matching slot rather than the key the player actually bound to that bar. The addon now reads each action button's exact binding command directly from the button frame, so any bar in any configuration shows the correct keybind.

v0.2.7
------
- Fixed keybind display for spells that appear on both a shapeshift form bar and the main action bar (e.g. Moonfire on Feral Druid in Bear Form). The addon now checks the active stance bar first, so the binding shown matches the button the player actually presses in that form rather than the spell's position on the main bar.

v0.2.6
------
- Click-through when locked — locking the UI now disables all mouse interaction on the addon frame, so clicks pass through to the game world beneath it. Only the title bar is interactive when unlocked (for dragging), keeping the suggestion area permanently click-through.
- Removed interrupt suggestion feature — the Blizzard API does not expose cast interruptibility in a way that addons can reliably read in all combat contexts on Midnight, so the feature has been removed entirely.
- Priority Spells list now scrolls — the list in the Rotation tab grows as you add spells (same as before) but caps at five visible entries, with mouse-wheel scrolling to reach the rest. The panel no longer grows without bound.
- Manual rotation missing-spell feedback — when a spell in your manual rotation is not on an action bar, the addon now shows that spell's icon and names the specific spell ("Add 'Frostbolt' to action bar") rather than a generic warning. Multiple missing spells show a count.
- Internal: GCD threshold constant unified — the 1.6 s threshold used to distinguish real cooldowns from the GCD was previously duplicated across three modules; it now lives in one place.
- Minimap button — a new button appears on the minimap ring using your addon's logo. Click it to open the settings panel; drag it to reposition it around the ring. Position is saved account-wide across reloads.

v0.2.5
------
- Split the single Trinkets toggle into two separate toggles — Trinket 1 (slot 13) and Trinket 2 (slot 14) — so you can enable priority suggestions for each trinket independently.
- Sound alert selection — the Sound tab now shows a list of available alert sounds. Click any row to select it as your alert and use the preview button to hear it before committing. The list automatically shows only sounds that exist in your client build.
- Numeric input fields added alongside all sliders in the settings panel, so you can type an exact value instead of dragging.
- Manual rotation spell picker: added a spell ID entry field at the bottom of the picker window. Use this to add proc spells or combo-form spells (e.g. Death Sweep) that only appear in the spellbook while their trigger condition is active.
- Manual rotation macro support — if a macro on your action bar casts the required spell (including macros with unit-target conditionals like `[@name]`), the rotation will no longer pause with "add spells to action bars". The correct hotkey for the macro slot is also now displayed on the suggestion icon.
- Interrupt priority — the addon now detects when your target or focus is casting a spell you can interrupt, and suggests your interrupt ability as a priority over your normal rotation. Toggle it on or off in the Rotation tab of Settings, alongside the other priorities.

v0.2.4
------
- ConsolePort support — if you play with a controller and have ConsolePort installed, the rotation icon now shows your controller button icon instead of a keyboard keybind.
- Hotkey position controls — two new sliders in the Display settings tab let you nudge the keybind label horizontally and vertically on the rotation icon.
- Added a toggle in Display settings to hide the spell name and status text, so you can run with just the icon if you prefer a cleaner look.
- Manual rotation: added an "Ignore action bar validation" toggle in the Manual tab. Tick this if your rotation uses macros — the addon will no longer pause with a "spells not on action bar" warning.

v0.2.3
------
- Added numpad keybind support so players using numpad bindings now see the correct key displayed.
- Backend preparation work ahead of upcoming API changes before mythic raid release.

v0.2.2
------
- Added a border to the spell icon when the glow effect is turned off, so you always have a clear visual frame around the suggestion.
- Addon chat output and slash commands are now fully rebranded — the command prefix is now /sy (e.g. /sy help, /sy toggle).

v0.2.1
------
Priority Potions — whitelist system
- Replaced the old automatic potion scan with a user-defined potion whitelist, matching the style of the priority spells list.
- Added a Priority Potions section in the Options Panel with add/remove buttons and a bag browser popup that shows potions you have both in your bags and on your action bars.
- Potion list is saved per-spec — switching specs swaps the list automatically.

Cooldown Strip improvements
- The cooldown strip now uses your potion whitelist instead of scanning action bars.
- Priority spells always appear in the strip when the list is non-empty, regardless of whether the spells priority toggle is enabled.

Hide Out of Combat — click-through fix
- When the UI fades out (Hide Out of Combat enabled), mouse interaction is now disabled immediately so the invisible frame no longer blocks clicks on the game world.

Manual Rotation — major stability improvements
- Manual rotation now correctly shows spells that are on cooldown as greyed out with a cooldown sweep, rather than glowing as if ready to cast.
- Fixed: toggling a priority option (e.g. Potions) while in manual mode now immediately clears the priority suggestion from the display.
- Rewrote the cooldown skip logic to be fully compatible with Midnight's API restrictions — spells on long cooldowns are now correctly skipped in the rotation queue.
- Introduced two-phase step selection: the rotation first looks for a spell that is both off cooldown and has sufficient resources (shown glowing), then falls back to the next off-cooldown spell if resources are low (shown greyed), rather than getting stuck.
- Proc spell support — spells that transform via procs (e.g. Sinister Strike → Ambush) now display the proc version when it's active and correctly advance the rotation when either the base or proc version is cast.

v0.1.9
------
- Added a custom keybind option to enable/disable trinket, potion, and priority spell suggestions on the fly.

v0.1.8 — Manual Rotation Builder (Beta)
------
- Added a full manual rotation builder where you can select spells from your action bars to create your own custom rotation instead of relying on Blizzard's Assisted Combat suggestions.
- Rotation profiles are named and saved per-spec.
- Share codes — export and import rotation profiles to share with other players.
- Trinkets and potions will still fire as priority suggestions over your manual rotation if their toggles are on.
- A mode selector lets you switch between Assisted Combat mode and Manual Rotation mode.
- If a spell in your manual rotation is missing from your action bars, the rotation pauses and warns you.
- If you lack resources or charges for a spell, the rotation skips to the next available spell.

v0.1.7
------
- Priority spells now check whether you have enough resources before suggesting them — no more being prompted to cast a big cooldown you can't afford yet.

v0.1.6
------
Bug Fixes
- The suggested spell icon now goes grey when the spell is on cooldown, matching the same visual you see on your action bar.

New Features
- Out of Range — the icon goes grey and shows "Out of range" in red when your target is too far away. Clears automatically when you move into range.
- No Target — when nothing is targeted, the icon shows a crosshair and "Select a target."
- Spell glow toggle — you can now turn off the glow effect on the suggestion icon in the Display settings tab.
- Hide UI buttons — the cog and lock buttons can be hidden via Display settings or /sy controls. Type /sy controls again to bring them back.
- /sy help now shows a clean list of all available commands.

v0.1.5
------
- Significantly improved cooldown accuracy for priority spells — spells were being suggested too early during combat. This should now be much more reliable.
- Labeled the Priority Spells section as a beta feature in the UI.
- The addon is now saved per character — your DK's priority spells list will not appear when you log onto your Druid.
- Fixed a hotkey display issue on Druid and Rogue action bars when switching stances/forms.

v0.1.4
------
- Fixed an issue where priority spell suggestions would reset before the spell came off cooldown when a boss encounter started.

v0.1.3
------
Fixes & Changes
- Fixed errors occurring during combat that were disrupting the rotation display.
- Added the ability to reorder spells in your priority list to control cast order.
- Reworked the settings menu into a tabbed layout for easier navigation.
- Priority spells now also appear in the cooldown tracker strip.
- Per-spec profiles for the priority spells list — each specialization saves its own list.

v0.1.2
------
- Added an option to hide the UI while out of combat.
- Added an option to hide the full background of the UI frame.
- Added experimental "Priority Spells" feature — manually add spells from your action bars to a custom list. These will be suggested when off cooldown, taking priority over Blizzard's default combat suggestions. Great for big cooldowns that the game's system doesn't naturally surface.

v0.1.1
------
- Fixed a hotkey display issue.
- Removed health and mana potions from automatic potion suggestions.
