War and Dragons: Performance Guide

Welcome to War and Dragons! This modpack is built to bring high-fantasy adventures and immersive combat into Minecraft, with dragons, kingdoms, dungeons, and more. To ensure players of all kinds can enjoy the experience, this guide will help you tweak performance settings for your specific setup.

⚖️ Recommended System Requirements

RAM: 6GB minimum (8-12GB recommended)

CPU: Quad-core or better

GPU: Dedicated GPU with 2GB+ VRAM (GTX 1050Ti or better)

Resolution: 1080p or lower for best performance

⚡ Quick Optimization Tips

1. Allocate Enough RAM

In CurseForge Launcher: Go to Settings > Minecraft > Java Settings.

Set your maximum RAM to 8GB if you have 16GB total, or 10–12GB if you have 32GB+.

2. Lower Video Settings

Go to Options > Video Settings:

Render Distance: 8–12 chunks

Smooth Lighting: Minimum or Off

Clouds: Off

Particles: Decreased

Entity Shadows: Off

3. Use Performance Mods (already included)

FerriteCore – Reduces RAM usage.

ModernFix – Optimizes memory & startup.

Entity Culling – Skips rendering hidden mobs.

Cull Less Leaves – Boosts FPS with better tree rendering.

Dynamic FPS – Reduces FPS when game is unfocused.

4. Turn Off Shaderpacks (If You Lag)

If you have shaders enabled via Iris or OptiFine:

Switch to Internal shader or disable completely under Video Settings > Shader Packs.

👍 Still Lagging? Try This:

Play in fullscreen mode (less background CPU/GPU draw).

Close other apps (Chrome, Discord overlays, etc.).

Lower Minecraft resolution in settings.

Disable minimap radar temporarily.

Thanks for playing War and Dragons, and enjoy building your kingdom or slaying mighty beasts! For support or suggestions, check the CurseForge page or future community Discord.
