connect

Establishes a connection with the MySQL server.

Throws:

checkConnection

private void checkConnection()
                      throws java.sql.SQLException

Checks if the connection to the MySQL server is valid. If it isn't, it connects again

Throws:

java.sql.SQLException

getRowCount

public int getRowCount(java.sql.ResultSet rs)

Gets the row count of a ResultSet

Parameters:

rs - - The ResultSet from which to count the rows

Returns:

The row count for the given ResultSet

sendQuery

public void sendQuery(java.lang.String sql)
               throws java.sql.SQLException

Sends a query to the MySQL server

Parameters:

sql - - The query to send

Throws:

java.sql.SQLException

executeQuery

public java.sql.ResultSet executeQuery(java.lang.String sql)
                                throws java.sql.SQLException

Sends a query to the MySQL server and receives a ResultSet

Parameters:

sql - - The query to send

Returns:

The ResultSet received
