Easy DKP is intended to provide in game listing of the DKP on your website using EQDKP www.eqdkp.com

To Install

Once you have installed EQDKP on your website or set it up on your guild hosting site, you need to add the dkp_dump.php file to the root directory of your eqdkp website. If you want you can add a link to the export file in the menu by modifying the default menu but this isn't required.

To export data from website

Once you have dkp_dump.php installed on the website you can export the information on your EQDKP site to the addon. The URL is typically http://MyGuildWebsiteName/eqdkp/dkpdump.php where MyGuildWebsiteName is of course the domain name of your guild website. If you goto this URL you will be prompted to save a file called dkp_dump.lua. You need to save this file which contains all the dkp info from your website into the addon directory. This is typically c:\Program Files\World of Warcraft\Interface\addons\EasyDKP note that each time you download you will be overwriting the old version with the latest DKP info from your website.

Once you have downloaded and saved the file to the addon directory you can startup WoW or do a /console reloadUI if the game was already running. This is required as an addon can only read changed data in the directory when WoW reloads. You can verify the date of the download by doing a /edkp date command.

To use data in addon

You should now have your data present in the addon you can see this by typing /edkp list (or by clicking on the DKP icon if you are using the FuBar plugin). This will present you with a frame that allows you to display your DKP in game. There are many options, first you decide where to output the DKP to eg: Raid, party, guild, officer chat etc. By clicking on "All DKP" button it will list everyone in your dkp list to the chosen chat output. If you click on "Raid DKP" it will only list the members present in your current raid to the chosen chat output.

The other options here give you the option to limit the list to just plate wearers, classes who can use a particular weapon type etc. The idea being that when you loot a body and need to list out the dkp you can limit the list to those eligible for the item with a couple of quick clicks. The default is output to Raid so typically a plate item drops you click "Plate" and click "Raid DKP" and all raid members see the list of who has what DKP. If you are using the intended queue system then the person with the most DKP gets first choice on the item.

Subtracting DKP from someone who gets an item

When you allocate the loot to someone a window will pop up automatically asking if you want to subtract the DKP from that person. Clicking yes then updates thier DKP by subtracting the value of the item from them. So for instance if two items drop and you allocate one the DKP list will be correct when you list the DKP for the second item. This proves extremely useful for a long boss run in a raid. It used to be a nightmare to manually track changes in DKP over the course of an evening when you are downing numerous bosses, with EasyDKP all you do is click yes to subtract DKP from someone when they loot the item. The addon will then track all the changes for that evening so the list is always up to date. If you disenchant an item then simply click no when asked if you want to subtract the value when you allocate the item to the disenchanter.

Correcting mistakes

There is a /edkp add playername amount and an /edkp subtract playername amount commands so you can adjust scores during a raid if you make a mistake. You can also see all the changes since the last download from the website by doing a /edkp changes.

Uploading to website

Once the raid is over it is recommended that you use your regular raid tracking addon to upload all the loot to the website. I personally recommend CT_RaidTracker you can get the latest version from http://www.mldkp.net/index.php?option=com_smf&Itemid=10&topic=65.0 - Version 1.70 and above of CT_RaidTracker has support for EasyDKP built in.

Remember that once you have updated your website with the latest changes you need to export the data back into EasyDKP for use during the raid.
