splitText

public static java.util.List<net.minecraft.util.IChatComponent> splitText(net.minecraft.util.IChatComponent chatComponent,
                                                                          int width,
                                                                          net.minecraft.client.gui.FontRenderer fontRenderer,
                                                                          boolean stripSpaces,
                                                                          boolean keepFormatting)

Split the text into the width, with every newline as a new list entry.

Parameters:

chatComponent - the start component

width - the max width

fontRenderer - the font renderer instance

stripSpaces - true if spaces on the start of newlines should be removed

keepFormatting - true if the text formatting shouldn't be removed

Returns:

the list with the splitted chat component

parseFormatting

public static java.lang.String parseFormatting(java.lang.String text,
                                               boolean keepFormatting)

Get if the input test should keep its formatting. This method checks the Minecraft settings, but it can be overridden with the keepFormatting parameter.

Parameters:

text - the input text

keepFormatting - false if if the input shouldn't keep the formatting

Returns:

the parsed text

getFormatFromString

public static java.lang.String getFormatFromString(java.lang.String text)

Return the last format usd on the input text.

Parameters:

text - the input text

Returns:

the last used format code

isFormatColor

public static boolean isFormatColor(char character)

Parameters:

character - the character to check

Returns:

true if this character is a color code

isFormatSpecial

public static boolean isFormatSpecial(char character)

Parameters:

character - the character to check

Returns:

true if this is a special character
