A note on the license - I have hundreds of hours in this and other mods, which I share out to the community for no fees. If you like the mod please share your thoughts/images/videos on the KSP forum thread! Search for ICE alternative engine mod for KSP.

ID ICE is not perfect! I don't claim this is a totally realistic simulation of how a real engine/driveline works. My primary goal was to experiment with making an alternative engine module for KSP. Secondly, I wanted to support and inspire the community to take more advantage of EVA activities.

Craft files included (MadMax) requires Skillful, my other mod for weapons and damage. If you don't have/want that use NiceMax which is the non-weaponized version of the car.

I've included some stabilizers and canards from my Naval Aircraft mod (unreleased) these are in essence part of both mods.

Lastly, ICE was reworked to be compatible with Skillful, wheels will not go flat or get shot out, engines will not take weapon damage etc... without Skillful installed.

UPDATE: Due to KSP changes engine output was nerfed a bit.

Instructions/Limitations:

1) you can use as many generator engines, and/or 4cyl engines as you want, the power from each will be combined into the transmission.
2) Only use 1 transmission - if more than one are used only the first one placed will be enacted.
3) Wheels don't have all options available in the hangar yet, plus numerous other tweaks will be done over the coming weeks/months.
4) If the wheels on one side seem to go backwards at lauch - your first placed and/or cockpit must have improper orientation, likely only if that part is modded.

These wheels don't make it impossible to flip! - use the transmission/gearbox option for sliplock to alter how much the car will slide/grab.

Proper balancing of mass, wheel settings, power settings and downforce are needed to get them to work at their best, I'm interested in seeing what people can do with them! :)

Above all - have fun!
