INSTALL INSTRUCTIONS:
Merge the provided "GameData" folder with the folder by
the same name in your KSP directory.

This mod requires ModuleManager, which is already bundled.
No further action required.

BACKGROUND:
When KSP 1.0 came out, I was as excited as ever, especially
for the addition of harvestable resources. However, like many
others that have played KSP religiously through alpha and beta,
the "magic button" orbital surveyor made my eye twitch and
gave me indigestion. Being a programmer, I decided
"it couldn't be that hard" to delve into modding and make
a few tweaks.

WHAT THIS MOD DOES
Basically, this is a very simple mod that only makes it more
tedius to scan planets, and makes the initial orbital survey
experience ever so **slightly** more realistic.

ALso, a "toggle biome overlay" feature has been added for
viewing a planet's biomes, unlocked after a planet has
been scanned.

HOW IT WORKS
- The M700 Survey Scanner now acquires "scan progress" when
deployed in a suitable orbit around a celestial body. While
a scan is in progress, electric charge is consumed.

- The M700 Survey Scanner will not let you press the magic
"Perform orbital survey" button (now renamed "Transmit survey data")
until the "scan progress" reaches 100%. By default, this requires
one full orbit.

- When "scan progress" reaches 100%, you may now press the
button. Stock resource scan behavior takes over from here.

- After a planet has been surveyed, you can now also toggle a
biome overlay along with the resource overlay.

This mod DOES NOT:

- Alter the required orbit for the "Perform orbital survey"
button to work.

- Alter any part of the stock resource system after the orbital
survey.

- Allow partial resource scans or anything fancy like that.

SETTINGS
While in the space center view, click on the "OSP" app launcher button
to bring up a settings menu. You can adjust the behavior of OSP here
if you so desire. You can even shut off the scan-time if you're just
interested in OSP for the biome overlay.
