TouhouTorpedo's Modular wheels pack v0.6.2.1

Modular Wheels 0.6 rewrites the book on how to play Modular Wheels, adding engines and resource consumption to the mix, allowing you to make fast or slow rovers, or short or long endurance rovers, depending what you want from them. It also combines all the plugin files into ONE file.

Retractable wheels start DEPLOYED, and can be configured to start retracted by adding isDeployed = false to the cfg.

OmniWheels are in the mod! These are like the Katepillar mod, but also feature throttle controlled, right click gui or action group lockable lift rams. Allowing you to go over docking ports for instance, lower down, and dock. Could be very useful for base construction! There are also standalone liftrams without Omniwheels attached available, with much greater extension range.

0.6 Adds CAR WHEELS. These smaller scale wheels are ideal for kerbal size rovers and cars. They are also much lighter, so can acheive higher speeds and ranges. - speaking of range, did I mention ENGINES? Engines calculate how fast your vehicle should go based on the mass and how much power is available, so more engines, more speed, but greater fuel consumption. If your vehicle weighs 40 tons and has one engine, don't be suprised if it barely rolls.

Please do NOT upload this mod pack in any collections, and do not upload any modification of this mod pack. You are free to upload new texture packs if you credit this mod and myself as the maker, and provide a link to the original upload thread/spaceport upload. Feel free to fiddle with the CFG or try unusual placements, If you have any suggestions or improvements let me know on the forum and I'll see it gets into the next version if I like it. You can make new mods that use this plugin, but please credit me as the plugin creator and do -not- reupload the plugin files, as these will be continually updated.

Instructions:

IMPORTANT NOTE FOR OLD MULTIWHEELS USERS - DELETE THE TTMODULARWHEEL, TTOMNIWHEEL, TTLIFTRAMMODULE AND TTGRAPHICFLIPMODULE FILES OR THIS WILL NOT RUN

To install, extract the zip into your KSP root folder (where the executable is) and make sure the correct plugins are installed to play.

This mod currently still uses 0.19 type file system, as the way its put together there isn't much model sharing (so really very little ability to reduce memory/filespace used) and also to retain 0.19 compatability, for anyone still using it. You do NOT need to manually copy any file or folder, just stick it all into your KSP Directory, and merge folders.

You will require infernal robotics (0.20) or MuMechLib (0.19) from MechJeb to use the trailer hinges, but it is not neccesary for any other parts. The mod will run without those plugins installed, it just won't have any hinges. Custom hinges are planned soon that do not use those if possible.

Most importantly, Have fun and post what you make with it!

Changelog:

v0.2

added truckwheels front and rear as well as lights
added truckcab
added modular cart wheel with rear steering

v0.3

revamped cab model (compatible with old models made this way)
rebalanced truckwheels (now heavier for bigger loads)
added trailer wheels with and without lights
added bushplane wheels
added retractable aircraft wheels (steering, non-steering, powered+steering)
added "Gravity Engine" for holding down on other worlds

v0.3.18

Wheels now run on CleverBobCat.dll Legacy module for 0.18 compatability.
added CrewCab for putting additional crew on your trucks.
added modified DR hinge with permission for an alternate trailer hinge mechanism.
added three stock trucks to show ways to use the hinges. Feel free to mess with these!

v0.4
added new TruckCab model with massively improved IVA and customisable texture

v0.5
Plugin Overhaul, now driven by TTModularWheel, TTOmniWheel, TTLiftRamModule, TTGraphicFlipModule
Updated all the wheel models from previous versions
Added smaller landing gear variants
Added OmniWheels
Added LiftRams
Removed Gravity Engine and Tosh based carts (these can still be got from v0.4 which I will leave uploaded for legacy parts)

v0.5.0.1
Fixed a Datalogging bug that could slow the game down when a lot of lift rams are used

v0.5.0.2
Fixed a Datalogging bug that could slow the game down when a lot of Omniwheels are used
Changed most parts descriptions
Moved Magic Lift Ram into the Utility section

v0.5.1.0
Update to plugins for improved wheel model collision detection. Angled wheels now do not "Fly" or "Sink" at speed.

v0.5.1.1
Update to plugins for customisable suspension strengths. Added higher values to landing gear cfg's so they hold better. Also added code to prevent "sticking" when the vessel is stopped and put rolling resistance back for non driving wheels.

v0.5.2.0
Converted DAE files to .MU
Fixed texture bug on tailwheel
Added new dualgear pods

v0.6
Fixed sticky wheels - no longer have to wobble things to life.
Made new gravity compensation system. Wheel friction increases on low gravity planets/decreases on high gravity planets
Made new timewarp compensation system.
Added Engines - three types, Liquid Fuel, RCS and Electric.
Added new Car Wheels - smaller, lighter wheels for small rovers.
Added config system - you can turn "cheatwheels" mode on and off, and configure the low gravity and time warp compensation.

v0.6.1
fixed a missing line in CFG for noarchwheel_S and noarchwheel_ms
Plugins concatonated into a single file

v0.6.2
added Flat four versions of the fuel and RCS engines
added the BDSD Engine
buffed the torque output on larger landing gears
fixed the tailwheel not using power unless opposing movement, and buffed the power output.
Adjusted the wheelmass of small landing gear and tailwheels to make them perform a bit better. Suspension might need toughening up for some purposes. Let me know if so and I'll buff the suspension, but they should be a bit quicker, and not as harsh on brakes now.
Car fuel tank now places right way up

v0.6.2.1
fixed an error in the BDSD engine that stopped the intake from working.

v0.6.2.2
changed the name of the flat four RCS engine part in the cfg to prevent errors.
